Hey guys, just wanted to drop in and say hey to everyone! I didn't know who might still be lurking around, and thought I'd give out a shout out thread and see what everyone was doing now.
I'm still in youth ministry and working in the transportation industry full time. I mostly play consoles now, a little CS:S to catch up with friends, and WoW. Has LM attached to a new game yet?

OK, so I'm a little late for the Nintendo DS bandwagon, but I just bought two DS Lite's, one for myself, and the other for my wife. And I must say, this little guy is the best console purchase I believe I've ever made. Since we've had them, we've spent more time playing it than any other game system we have (What's WoW again?).
I am absolutley amazed at how fun the games are, and especially the WiFi abilities. I booted up New Mario Bros. last night and my wife downloaded the MP and joined up. The Puzzle games are quick and fun, but MP mario was the absolute win. And Mario Kart DS online or with a friend over WiFi? Hawtness on a stick.
Am I alone in my admiration of such a simple concept becoming the new cornerstone of my gaming habit? Anyone else intoxicated by the DS goodness? Share your experiences with this little box of addiction.
PS. Also, you need to look into the Movie Player for the DS if you have one, it does music, movies, ebooks, and *gasp* GBA/NES roms. I've yet to test the latter feature, but the rest are awesome. This is exactly what I thought I would miss from my PSP, now I have it on DS, with no new discs to buy for movies I already own.

I wanted to put a compilation of videos we've found humorous, amazing, or other. Just preference it if it is or isn't work safe (WS or NWS). This is sort of a blatant copy of something I found somewhere else, and most of these videos I found there. But I figured there were probably some videos you guys (and gals) might know of, but I haven't watched (it's also an attempt to get the community to post more often).

I'm looking for good distros of Linux to immerse myself in it. I'm looking for two specific things, and if one distro can do that, great, but if I can do in more than one distro, let me know.
1: I'm looking for a good Windows replacement linux distro that has a functional GUI that could be used for internet/word processing/games/etc. It doesn't have to be completely newb friendly. I may be new to Linux, but not computers, so I want to find a distro that would run some windows apps and games the BEST.
2: I need to learn network permissions, even the possibility or domain management, but most importantly folder shares and user based permissions.
Now some linuxnub pre questions. Is there a GUI much like Windows to manage permissions, or is it command line based? Can I manage multiple Linux machines from one box (other than VNC or such). Can I install multiple NIC's into this box and use it as a firewall/router?
My plan is to learn Linux for my workplace, and to use a machine at home as a firewall/router and storage server. I need to see what linux is capable of as a server and as a workstation. OK, so rad's been on vacation.
So it hasn't been much of a vacation. I got a second (and third) job, had another kid, got robbed, and finally settled into my new routine (except the whole robbery thing).
Now, it is time to re-institute the reg night. there will be no discussion on when the first one will be held, because it's the only time I can do it this time, but then we'll open it up to debate.
Without Further Ado...
Reg/RS Night Communistically Followed Schedule

o Marines can't use any weapons except for 2 mines per hiding spot and knives. The commander is allowed to have weapons, but cannot hide. Once the commander has died, no one can replace him.
o Marines can have motion tracking. They cannot have any other upgrades/weapons.
o Marines win if they are not found within 15 minutes (10 minutes after aliens start searching).
o Marines who are killed must join spectate.
Aliens
o Aliens stay in their hive for 5 minutes.
o Aliens can have only 1 lerk and 1 gorge. Everybody else must be a skulk.
o Aliens win if they kill all the marines within 15 minutes (10 minutes after hunt begins)
o Aliens dying for whatever reason (mines, knives, doors) must immediately join Spectate. They must not divulge the location of any marines after they are dead to the alien team.
o Aliens are not permitted to use their flashlight or scent of fear.
o Movement Chambers are the only allowed chamber.
Secondary Gamemode: Organized PUG
