So, just wondering if anyone likes Tool and was waiting for the new album. It came out yesterday. I'm liking most of the songs, but nothing can beat Lateralus (or Ænima for that matter). Anyway, the songs take a bit getting used to, but some of them are very good after a few listens.

I love 10,000 days, The Pot is a great song.

Lateralus is my favorite album though.

Off Topic / NS and ID
« on: March 10, 2006, 02:52:32 PM »
I dont have any evidence of this, but my assumption when i saw this site last week was that Zunni and crew mustve gotten sick of UW being basically out of the loop on their own products, so they decided to just go make ns themselves... but as NS and stuff is UW copyright, they called it ID and changed the skulk to mr leapie etc etc.

I'd just like to point out the that worst year of my life, ever, is this one.  Senior year of high school, college apps, AP Calculus eating my soul, AP Physics eating my physical body, and this semester I have TWO english classes that are analyzing what little remains.

Other than that, I'm still around.  I watch the servers to see if anyone gets on, but I don't have that much time anymore.  But yes, I am around and I do try to stay up to date.

for the password, try brand names on the computers at school or something like that. Last year we needed it for something, and a friend of mine noticed the network admin always carried around a three ring binder with a "CORBEY" logo on it, and that was the password.

oh god, not fasterfox.

this works like that google web make-fastar thing earlier and does things almost as stupid.

it tries to download everything linked on a page before you click on it so it can load from cache instead of downloading. while this sounds good, it annoys server operators to no end because the bandwidth overhead it generates is comparable in size only to an xbox. also, it's likely to get you banned from any corner of the internet that has an anti-bot rule (used to keep rippers, spiders and harvesters out)

tl;dr: stop all the downloadin'

more like "help your local (or remote) sysop by uninstalling"

ps: prefetch fails the big one. doubly so if someone forgot to set rel="nofollow" on the "delete everything" button.

aha! blackmage denied.
