Title: Portal

Well, it seems to me that we all love Portal.  I know this because as of this writing, ten of the people in the LM group were playing it.  I haven't seen that many of us playing the same game, at the same time, in ages.  Crazy.


So, I've beaten it.  Who else, and what do you think of it?

I played a mix of Episode Two and Portal today. They're both great. There have been some awesome scripted sequences in Episode Two already (e.g. huge things falling towards you).

I DID I DID! 

I thought it was great... I expected it to be more of a puzzle game than a story line, I think anyone looking for a great story will be disappointed.  It was hard for me in parts because I've never been great at jumping puzzles, and that's what several of the 'levels' were.

I do think the end could have been more difficult though --- that was somewhat of a letdown... but all in all - two wings up :D

I have to say, I loved it.  I honestly think I haven't had that much fun in a very long time.  Admittedly, it was short, and there wasn't much story, but it was just long enough.  Any longer, and it would've been repetitive, and any more information on the plot would have given too much away, and ruined the mystery.  There were several times I actually laughed, something I don't do often.  I don't want to spoil it, though, so I'll keep it brief, but one of my friends managed to get the song from the end credits.  It's amazing, but I got it stuck in my head today during class.

First thing I did upon beating the game and closing it was shutdown steam so it'd release it's hold on the GCFs and I could go snag that song. :D

Well, I beat Portal and most of the advanced versions (two have me stumped). And I just beat Episode Two. It was definitely way better than Episode One, and if it was longer, it'd be better than HL2. You find out a lot of interesting stuff, and some really interesting questions were raised as well.

Portal was one of the best games I've ever played, I'm going through Ep1 before I do Ep2 though. ^_^

Yeah, I beat Episode 2 as well.  It did answer some of my questions, and it also solidified my resolve to go to Halloween as the G-Man, if I can find a cheap blue suit.

I think most will agree that portal was much more then we thought it could be :D
