anywho, I play a few gmes of co_sillyv5 on lm recently, and everyone had a great time, great gunplay, and a sense of teamwork (grenaders first, then shotie ha's to clear the rest!) and fter the round we all run to the silly room to rotate till we vomit. good stuff.

So it got me to want to map again, seeing how my work was sort of appreciated at the time of its release (now sadly, the mvm is long dead *cries*) So now im going to do something different and release a ava map, mind you very buggy and cheaply made. I'm going to post the list of bugs at the bottom. The map itself is taken from the original silly map, basicly put the mvm and ava map together, and you get a horrible ns map :-D
the two teams are aliens, and aliens 02

Bugs:

-Team "aliens" has no hive, and no mod can fix it by switching hives, unless you can somehow heal an enemy hive.

-Huge spawning issues with team "aliens" not going to give details as its a huge exploit, needless to say it will be on ny ava map.

-Team "aliens" special abilities work on and off (I think its just team aliens) it might be both). Sometimes your upgrdes ill work and sometimes they wont.

-If an onos devours another creature with regen, that devoured alien will never die, but infact kept on regenning that said onos, only way out is rejoining the server, simple fix = dont get regen.

-Sometimes the scoreboard gets bugged.


Now all these bugs are because the ava thing itself, you wouldnt be able to fix them without redoing the code. that being said its stuill damn fun.

If you can get something approaching a working way to map it, I'm betting people would jump in with plugins to do the rest. MvM co maps play perfectly and bug free now thanks to lots of plugin work. Devouring onos in combat are pretty rare anyway, it takes a lot to get to that point. Seems that if one team has no hive at all, you could just make them the 'attacking' team and put a lot of DCs in the 'hive room' so they have an equivalent place to run back to and heal.

Hrmmmm yeah, if this gets popular I bet it will get fixed one way or another, I mean voogru is an NSdev now so there's a small chance that a patch would fix it hafafaf :D.

*cough*

well, after playing the ava map on lm, on almost a full server... it seems that it didnt go out to well, nd by seems /i mean it took 3 times to get spawning to work... then after about tehee 6th game the teamspawns died for no reason and we all started to spawn in the ready room. Neeedless to say ava DOSNT work. and that map shall be forgotton... hopefully forever.


but on a birghter note, Marines vs marines works totaly awsome. I did one thing right... right? :-D

It was like AvAvA :D or as athena would say co_ass3.

You should do another MvM map or revise the old one

yeah, co_ass3 was a fun run in the rotating rewm of dewm.

The regen and devour thing might be easily fixed with a plugin that removes regen when a player gets devoured..

They also should find a way to rid of Onos devouring Onos, it just doesnt make sense, and 700 hp minus 3 hp per tick or whatever the count uses o_O

Ugh, that room taught me not to mix beer and NS. Ugh.

Btw I got some screenshots of co_ass3 I MEAN AVA and I'll post them when I get home.  :)

Notice the circled fade, i took that pic at the right second, because thats its body being launched into a wall after he was gored by that hive sighted flashlit Onos running after a lerk ..

at least MvM is fun and works decent
